I will live in the
guest apartment in Fridhem week 21 (may 17-21). Then we can meet, and
you'll be able to register as a candidate for the model of the figurehead.
If there are very many applying I will make a selection. The model will
be made from photographs, so you will be needed for those in august. Time
plan:
The deadline for registering as a candidate is August 1.
The photography will take place during week 32 (August 2-8).
In september you will be
presented with a photograph on a poster with the other candidates. You
will also be presented on this home page where everyone who doesn't live
in Fridhem can vote. Vote here!
In the end of october the voting period will be closed with an exhibition
at the library in Karlshamn, where the candidates will be presented with
photos and texts.
November 20th the voting is over and the winner is chosen. The other contestants
will be "doorkeepers"; the photos of the candidates will be
in the entrances of the houses permanently. The size is 50x50 cm. See
an example
During the winter of 04-05 I will make a model of the winner for the figurehead
in scale 1:1. I might need some more pictures taken for this in december.
Spring 2005 the figurehead will be cut out of an oak from Blekinge. It
will be bigger than natural size
when it's finished, and painted.
Hopefully it's on
location sometime during the spring of 2006. |
